Contest Rules
No purchase is necessary to enter or win our contests. By submitting an entry, each contestant is confirming his or her full agreement with the rules of the contest and that he or she is a resident of North Carolina. Three photographs may be submitted per entrant. All contestants must be at least 18 years old and no submissions shall be accepted by email.
Grand Prize
Unless noted otherwise, Picture Studios competitive tournaments are winner take all with a $500 GRAND PRIZE.
No Experience Needed
Our contests are open to amateurs as well as professionals. Whether you take your photos at home on a cell phone or at our rental studios using professional lighting and equipment, we encourage you to apply for a chance to be on the show.
Voting Process
Entries will be judged based on their talent, creativity and availability to appear on the show. Picture Studios will select two (2) candidates per episode. Show contestants will be notified of their status prior to an announcement at www.instagram.com/rentmystudio. Show contestants will collaborate with Picture Studios to generate excitement about the Makeup Battle show and will be expected to spend 3-4 hours at the studio during pre-production and live filming. The winner for each battle will be announced at the beginning of the next episode of the tournament. Picture Studios will notify winners via the contact information provided at the time of entry and provide details on future studio appearances as the tournament progresses. Picture Studios may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to notifications within five (5) business days. Show updates will also be posted on Instagram.

You retain your rights to your photographs; however, by entering the contest, you grant Picture Studios (and any entity authorized by Picture Studios) a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to: advertising and promotion of the company, sponsors, clients, or affiliates as well as websites, social networks, desktop software, mobile apps and web applications. Any photograph reproduced by Picture Studios, Makeup Battle or authorized parties will include a photographer credit to the extent such credit is feasible. Picture Studios will not be required to pay any consideration or seek additional approval in connection with such uses.
Indemnification
All entrants hold Picture Studios, Makeup Battle and their respective directors, officers, employees, interns, volunteers, brands, sponsors, affiliates, and clients (the “Indemnified Parties”) harmless from and against all claims of any nature arising in connection with entrant’s participation in the contest and acceptance or use of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not liable for any costs, damages, injuries, or other claims incurred as a result of entrants’ participation in the contest or winner’s acceptance and usage of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not responsible for incomplete or misdirected entries, technical or network malfunctions or failures, or causes beyond their control. Entrants are solely responsible for their entries. Entrants may not submit materials that introduce any software viruses, worms or other programs designed to damage software, hardware or telecommunications equipment or are off-topic, partisan-political, contain advertising, nudity, personal attacks or expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, sexually explicit, or that infringes on the rights of any third party. All contests are void where prohibited or restricted by law. Picture Studios reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, Picture Studios reserves the right to award or not award the prizes in its sole discretion. Picture Studios reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to: inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of Picture Studios are final and binding.
